Even as Jay-Z and his people deny his involvement during the unfotunate incident that took place Wednesday night at Q-Tip's record release party, NY Police have slapped three assault charges on Jay-Z. They claim to have more then 30 witnesses who actually saw Jay-Z participate in the stabbing and beat down of record executive Lance 'Un' Rivera.All this came over accusations that Lance's cousin, a popular DJ named Buckwyld
was selling bootleg tapes of Jay-Z's soon to be released album. In New York City the incident involving the Grammy Award winner has made front page headlines with very colorful and sensational stories. It was as if the mainstream was waiting for such a foul incident to occur and unfortunately the folks around Jay-Z if it wasn't Jigga himself provided the ammunition.. peep out this front page story..RAPPERS BRAWL If this wasn't bad enough, court documents showing Jay-Z's charges were leaked to the press and now two other people have stepped foward to press charges on Jay-Z from prior dates. One guy was another music executive who alledges that he was cracked upside the head by Jay-Z. His record label folks at Roc-A-Fella records insist that Jay-Z was innocent and that he would never be so stupid considering his high visibility and and current celebrity status to partake in such an incident.They maintain that he was actually signing autographs and conducting interviews during the time of the assault On a side note.. Jay-Z's current problems come in a long line of highly visible and successful Black men who have found themselves being investigated and hauled off by police or just taken out the game completely. Sean Puffy Combs, Suge Knight, Busta Rhymes, 2Pac, Biggie and numerous others. It seems like as sonnas brothas hit the top, along comes some sort of incident to derail them and take away creditability.. Last night [Wednesday Dec 1 ] there was an album release party for Q-Tip at the Kit Kit Club. During the event an incident took place which resulted in record executive Lance 'Un' Rivera being stabbed. Police are saying that it stemmed from an argument over Jay-Z's new album The Life And Times Of Shawn Carter being bootlegged. Jay-Z's lawyers have denied that he had anything to do with the stabbing and he thus far co-operating with police.
